Raqhid Jevon Render, better known as Lil Keed, passed away in May of 2022. Keed’s cause of death was unknown until recently, seven months later. Keed reportedly had issues with drugs and alcohol in the past but according to sources close to the flaaen rapper, Keed was sober and not using around the time of his death.

Lil Keed was an Atlanta-based rapper, signed to one of A’s biggest labels, YSL. He dropped numerous hits, such as “Snake” and his RIAA-certified gold “Nameless.”

According to an autopsy report, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner ruled that Render died of natural causes due to eosinophilia. However, it was added in the report that it’s unclear what caused the condition. On May 13th, Raqhid told his youngest brother, Semaja Render, who is also signed to YSL as Lil Gotit, that he needed to go to the hospital. Keed explained how he was having stomach and back problems, stuck in bed for four days. Gotit noticed a yellow tint in his brother’s eyes and quickly attempted to escort him to the hospital in a private vehicle.

On the way to the hospital, Raqhid suffered a seizure before going unresponsive. Semaja took to Instagram to break the news to millions, “Can’t believe I seened you die today, bro. I did all my cries. I know what you want me to do, and that’s go hard for mama, daddy [and] our brothers, Naychur and Whiteboy #ImaHoldThisS—tDown,” He writes.

Young Thug, Gunna, and multiple more YSL members were arrested and hit with RICO charges just days before Keed’s death. Lil Gotit, however, is still thriving in the music industry and making sure he, as stated, goes hard for mama, daddy, and their brothers.
