Britney Spears has gained control of her life – finally. What’s next for the superstar now that the 13-year conservatorship that has controlled her life has ended?

On November 12th, a Los Angeles judge terminated the conservatorship of her estate AND person, saying the court found it “no longer required”.

Britney was “crying and laughing at the same time. She is so grateful to everyone that has helped her. She feels like she can finally breathe again. She called it the best day of her life”, says a source close to Spears.

Briney, 39, is now engaged to her model boyfriend, Sam Asghari, and celebrated with him on November 14th at “the most beautiful restaurant she’s ever seen”, she wrote on Instagram.

Since 2008, Jamie Spears (her Father) and others have made all Spear’s financial and personal decisions under the conservatorship, which she spoke out against in an emotional June hearing. “I don’t feel like I can live a full life”, says Britney who accuses Jamie, 69, of “conservatorship abuse”.

Sadly, Spears also claimed (in a since-deleted Instagram post) her “mother secretly ruined her life”. This statement was made after Lynne Spears requested $650,000+ in attorney-related fees from Britney’s estate.

Britney’s life was restricted in the first place due to “emotional, physical, and financial distress” which included alcohol and drug use, but was mostly triggered by her divorce from Kevin Federline and losing custody of her two sons.

Britney is now dreaming of a beach wedding in a tropical setting and contemplating a return to music. So many of her fans are celebrating her victory and wishing her well.
