Two months after getting engaged to “the Young and the Restless” actor, Max Ehrich, Demi Lovato ended the relationship.
The romance was a fast one and soon after the two stars met, they were pretty hot and heavy. They quarantined together during the coronavirus pandemic which, at the time, seemed to solidify their union.
Lovato has said she thought she found the “love of her life”. The singer and the actor were engaged only four months after they started dating, but began having “conflicts” after that. “It was very hurtful to Demi when she realized Max’s intentions weren’t genuine”, says a friend.
It was also said of Ehrich, “he was trying to further his career by using her name behind her back”.
Lovato released a self-love ballad called “Still Have Me” days after their split was made public. She also tweeted, “music is always there for me”.
It has also been said by friends of Lovato that it has been hard for her to admit she “made a mistake” when it comes to the broken engagement.
Besides the fact that Ehrich was caught using her name as a career stepping stone, the fact that they “lived in a bubble with zero stress” during the pandemic is another factor that contributed to the breakup. Once Ehrich headed to Atlanta from LA to film a movie, their relationship was put under some stress.
Though Lovato is suffering from a broken heart, and she has famously struggled with addiction and mental health, she is “doing ok”.
