Real Housewives of New York star, Luann de Lesseps, makes an appearance in peacock’s spin-off Ultimate Girls Trip. She talks about her life and her launch of the non-alcoholic wine called Fose’ Rose’. She is introducing the wine a few years into her sobriety.
“My daughter, Victoria, is one of my biggest supporters”, she says. “It’s been an incredible journey. I’ve grown so much and I’m finally in a great place”.
There are rumors of a Real Housewives of New York scandal with the cast regarding who’s staying and who’s going. She says, “I’ll come to that bridge when I cross it. I love the show and I’ve been on it for 13 years. I can’t see any reason why I wouldn’t be on the next season”.
De Lesseps was arrested in 2017 for disorderly intoxication where she had to deal with alcoholism in the public eye. She was placed on probation and was ordered to refrain from alcohol, which she struggled with doing. She began drinking again in 2020 but decided to quit a short time after.
She has said the Real Housewives of New York’s McSweeney has helped her along this journey. She has openly said that during COVID alcohol became more of an issue for her. “I’m not perfect”, she says. She hopes that by being honest about it someone else may say, “I’m drinking too much too, I’m like blacking out when I drink and I don’t remember”. Then they know they have a problem.
The RHONY star, 56, says “it’s day by day. That’s all we can do, right?”
