Kelly Osbourne, Australia’s Got Talent judge and daughter of Ozzie and Sharon Osbourne, has been sharing insights after she declared in 2020 that it was “going to be the year of me”.

The 36-year-old former Fashion Police host has been an open book for most of her adult life. Tough questions about her father, mother, and younger brother Jack, have never seemed to shake her.

This past August Kelly revealed she had lost 85 pounds following gastric-sleeve surgery. The surgery physically reduces the size of your stomach, but she’s quick to point out the procedure was not a “quick fix”. In October of 2020, she was photographed showing off the transformation.

“If you don’t work out and eat right, you gain weight”, says Osbourne. Her health journey also focused on sobriety. She spent a year in therapy to prepare “her head”. Kelly has 3+ years of sobriety under her belt and shares that when she was “using” she never struggled with confrontation the way she does now.

“It’s time to put myself first, and be the badass woman I was born to be,” she says. About five years after the finale of The Osbournes Kelly talked about her struggles with diet and nutrition, and how it played a role in her battle with addiction.

“I was called fat and ugly in the press almost my entire life. I truly believe it’s the main reason I turned to Vicodin and ended up in rehab three times”, she admits.

Kelly is now focused on the long haul. The former Masked Singer alum refers to herself as a “former fat person” and vows to work on what she does have instead of what she doesn’t.
