Kanye West, the Grammy-winning rapper who shares four children with his wife, Kim Kardashian, is at a painful point in his life. After his inflammatory remarks including his claim in 2018 that “slavery was a choice”, Kim has grown increasingly well aware that his issues are escalating. (He was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder in 2017).
Kim has tried to help Kanye through these times but according to an inside source, “she doesn’t want to worry about a grown man anymore”. The Keeping up with the Kardashians star is studying to be a lawyer.
Kanye’s troubling behavior also included him stating at a Presidential July 19th campaign speech (where he made an unlikely run for President of the United States) that he and Kim had considered aborting their first child North who is now 7 years old.
With the couple’s marital struggles of the past including Kim’s robbery at gunpoint in 2016 where Kanye felt “helpless” and Kanye’s ongoing mental health struggles, the couple is no stranger to problems.
However, the relationship may now be at its end. A Kardashian source says, “I believe the final straw was a combination of his presidential run and the Twitter rants that got too personal”.
The couple married in Italy in 2014. Their lavish wedding was attended by celebs such as Christy Teigen and John Legend. The reality star and the rapper seemed to be a perfect match, but it now seems they just have too many differences.
Kanye first opened up about his struggles with bipolar disorder in 2019. He became controversial for his political views and his unpredictable public statements but Kim always publically supported him. Now it appears that her husband’s mental state was incredibly painful and complicated behind closed doors.
Bipolar disorder is a mental disorder characterized by periods of depression and periods of elevated mood swings. The risk of suicide is high in those individuals with bipolar disorder and while it is not 100% understood, the causes seem to be genetic as well as environmental.
